The remodel on the house is moving along slowly...the master bedroom is almost done....that means I'm 1/2 done with the house...yipppie!!  I have had computer issues too and am finally getting it sorted out again. I did however loose all of my pictures, patterns, documents and everything else. Yes I had a back up but it was messed up too! Now I have to hunt all those wonder patterns back down and find all those amazing blogs and websites again....joy, joy.  Hope every one is have a greatly blessed day!

This is a gift package I sent to friends of mine in GA. They just had a beautiful little girl on July 24. She was  7 weeks early. She is doing great and will be going home from the hospital soon. Congrats Brooks Family!!
This is the changing pad for the Brooks family...this pic is on its side, so the big letter in the middle is a Z instead of an N

I made this wallet for myself.
I made this bag for my sister...it has a removable organizer inside.
Can you tell that Purple is her favorite color?

*********Please note that all the patterns that I have used to make these items were found free on the internet, except for the little green bag (my own design) and the Guitar Straps (I used my hubby's leather one as a guide) and the Changing Pads are mine design as well.*********

Take a look at the sites listed below to find the patterns for the items shown above:

My new wallet is called Cash Keeper:
Bibs and Burp cloths -- petal bib pattern (enlarged for burp cloths):
another Bib pattern I have used:
 Baby shoes:
The two bucket style purses (polka dots and purple with vine/leaf)
came from Kwik Sew # 3248 which I found as a free download here.
There are a lot of great patterns available for free on the internet if you take the
time to search them out. I have also found that there are some great people out there
that have already searched for lots of things and have compiled lists and made them available
to all of us for free, so if you find a link to long list of what you maybe looking for, take
a minute or two and go thru the list...like this one for dress patterns. You will be amazed at what you will find.

Hope that every one is having an abundantly blessed life!!!

Dresses for a June Wedding...

I was asked back at the beginning of May to sew 5 dresses for a wedding on June 10th...YES that is 5 dresses...got them all done last week. The wedding is this Friday night....I'm so excited and I hope that my cousin Jon and his very soon to be wife Tabitha have a wonderful married life.
Here's the pattern it's New Look 6589.

Here are all 5 dresses cut out and ready to sew together.

Here is one of the finished dresses (actually 2, but you can only see one).
My aunt came last week and picked up the dresses...she loved them. She delivered them to the Bride...she LOVED them too (my aunt said she cried when she saw them...I was told tears of joy).
I am so glad that the dresses are loved....there are lots of tears and prayers in each dress.

I was also asked to make a couple of other dresses and tablecloths during this same time frame. I managed to make Kevin a new t-shirt as well.
Matching dresses for Stacey and Christina. These were very quick and easy (just sew a seam or two and done).
This is the color of the tablecloths. Yes I know that the corner is missing,
but they are going to be on round tables and they will drape nicely without the corners.
The lady I made them for ended up using smaller tables than originally planned.
It's a good thing she has some very creative friends, because they managed to make these
72" square tablecloths fit some very small tables. They grabbed several spools of white ribbon and
gathered the corners up kinda loose and tied knots...they looked great on the tables...wish I had taked pics.
Maybe I can get one or two from someone else at the birthday party.

Here is Kevin's new t-shirt...on me! I know it's way too big, but I needed a pic and he wasn't home yet.
He loved it and wore it to the birthday party that I made the tablecloths for. :))

God does some mighty and wonderful things for us and I am so glad that he loves me enough to help me through each day.

Hello

My name is Michelle. I am here because I need a relief valve sometimes for all the things in my head. Hopefully what I post here will be inspiration for someone else.

I am the wife of a wonderful man that God sent to me. His name is Kevin. He's a pastor and my best and closest friend. We enjoy spending our time teaching, preaching, and singing for Jesus.

I enjoy sewing, quilting, singing, and learning new things. Hope you will join me on this journey of mine and be inspired in some way.

May God Bless you all.
